ArtXChanges was created by Rob Bangert from the Netherlands, Helena Rüegg and Anne-Marie Roth from Switzerland. Rob Bangert is not only a musician but also a seasoned project manager. He has served as a senior policy officer for culture in a large municipality and later as the director of a Center for the Arts. During his tenure, he has conceptualized and executed numerous local, regional, and national projects. He has also overseen various international exchange initiatives. As a director and musician, Rob has crafted and launched several community art projects.
Helena Rüegg has spent years producing programs for WDR and is also a professional actress and writer. Additionally, she is the founder of a festival in Southern France and the related cultural foundation, Bandalena. This foundation specializes in community art initiatives and has represented her organization in significant European projects. Helena is based in France, Germany, and Switzerland.
Together with Anne-Marie Roth they possess an extensive international network of professionals in the arts. Leveraging their broad international experience, they have established the ArtXChanges Foundation. The name and logo of ArtXChanges speak volumes about the founders’ motivations.
The foundation is deeply rooted in the belief that art connects, rejuvenates, transforms, explores, innovates, and moves us, among other things. Central to ArtXChanges is the idea of connection in any form, as it serves as the foundation for other intrinsic qualities of art.
Guided by this vision, the primary objective of the ArtXChanges is to organize, facilitate, and orchestrate encounters between artists, as well as between specialized educators.
